I am a documentary and street photographer currently based in San Francisco. I was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii and was living in Seattle from 2016 to 2025.
I started making photos when my dad gifted me his old Canon AE-1 nearly 12 years ago. This was when Kodak Gold 200 cost $2 a roll and developing and scanning was $10 a roll at Rainbow Photo and Video (now it’s $8/roll and $20 for dev/scan).
In 2024, I decided to dedicate myself to photography as a daily practice and haven’t looked back since. Just in the past year I’ve shot over 200 rolls of film and thousands more digital images.
I find that I’m drawn to tender and quiet moments in a world that is becoming increasingly more volatile.
